Integrated electrical systems engineering in vehicles / Ingineria sistemelor electrice integrate în autovehicule

The master's program is organized and coordinated by the Electrical Engineering Faculty, with the support and participation of faculties from POLITEHNICA University, as the Transportation Faculty, Automatic Control and Computer Science Faculty. The program's purpose is to specialize students at a high scientific and technological level across specific Electrical Systems Engineering dedicated to the enhancement of transport electrification, more specifically, but not limited to, road vehicles. The initial curriculum has been established with respect to specific requests from corresponding industrial domains, especially from the main industrial partner, the initiator of the Programme, the Engineering Centre of Renault in Romania: The next specific objectives of the Programme are:-- - Preparation in the usage of Electrical Systems Engineering by system management, complementary software components, and specific hardware to facilitate the electrical systems integration on vehicles: measurements and testing, software programming, modelling, simulation, design, component optimization, systems and project management.

Assimilation of the specific aspects in the field of Electrical Systems Integration for transport purposes: knowledge of vehicle dynamics and vehicle architecture, functional requirements, standards, virtual testing, etc.

Dedicated knowledge for a deeper understanding of Electrical Propulsion Systems including power electronics and controls, electric motors, specific electric energy sources, and specific electrotechnical materials.

Specific knowledge related to Electrical Systems Safety to offer security in the usage of the resulting system: electromagnetic compatibility, functional safety, specific technologies, and specific management.
